Anniversary years celebrations

The first ten years of our friendship in 1984,  was good cause for major celebrations in both Wesel and Felixstowe.  After that we have celebrated every "5th" anniversary.

2019 we celebrated 45 years of the official twinning / partnership and joined with our friends in the Wesel Felixstowe Association who also celebrated the 25th anniversary since their Association was formed..

2014 - 40 years of friendship.  The 40th anniversary celebrations included a visit to Wesel for the weekend 19th - 22nd September 2014.  Look at a photo montage of the weekend.

40 years digital history

A unique digital record was created with almost 250 photographs of "significant events and people" over the first 40 years. 100 copies of this digital record were given to our friends in Wesel and to members of the Felixstowe Wesel Association. To obtain a copy, contact the Chairman, Secretary or any other committee member.  A list of the items can be read on the contents index list .

A special book celebrating 40 years friendship has been produced by the Wesel Felixstowe Association. (Mostly written in German but with some contributions in English from Felixstowe) Limited copies are available (to borrow) - contact Francis Cotterell or Richard Holland
