With a history of more than 45 years, there have been innumerable people, events and stories relating to the Partnership between Felixstowe and Wesel. Sadly as years go by, some of these people, events and stories will be forgotten as records are lost or thrown away depriving future generations of the chance to learn about, and appreciate all that has gone before them.
Karl Hoemberg from Wesel has been inspired to say in a presentation to the Felixstowe Wesel Association "would it not be wonderful if a permanent record accessible to all, could be created to list the names of everyone who has been involved in the Partnership, together with the dates of visits between our two towns backed up with photographs and other notes".
With that in mind, Karl is creating a digital data-base to keep a record of any information that he can find with the working title "Wesel - Chronicle". If you have any letters, documents, notes or photographs that might be a useful addition to this Chronical, please contact Karl via any committee member of the Felixstowe Wesel Association (contact details can be seen on the "About Us" page of this website).
